Terms of Service

Who this is between

These terms are between Equilibrium Software Solutions LLC ("we", "us") and the school, district or organisation whose staff use Dabbled for Schools ("you"). If you are agreeing on behalf of a school, you are confirming you are allowed to.

Accounts

Accounts are for teachers, administrators and other adults working at a school. Keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has it. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for the people at your school you invite into it.

Students do not have accounts. A student joins a class with a link and a nickname. Deciding which students use the product, and supervising that use, is the school's responsibility — including any parental notice or consent your own policies require.

Using it properly

Don't use the product to:

• build or share anything unlawful, harassing, hateful or sexual involving minors;
• put personal information about students or anyone else into an app description;
• break into, overload or work around any part of the system, including its rate limits and its spending controls;
• resell access, or use it to build a competing service;
• misrepresent an app it generated as reviewed or endorsed by us.

What you make

The apps your school creates are yours. We claim no ownership of them, and we don't use them to advertise. We do need permission to store them, display them to your school and show them to anyone you publish them to — that's what running the product consists of.

Apps are private to your school unless someone at your school publishes one to the public library, which makes it free for anyone on the internet to use. Publishing is a decision to make deliberately: you can unpublish an app later, but we cannot recall a copy someone has already taken. Published apps are attributed to the school, never to an individual teacher or student.

What the AI produces

Apps are generated by a language model. They can be wrong, can misstate a fact, and can behave in ways nobody intended — the same as any other AI output. Look at what it built before you put it in front of a class. We don't warrant that a generated app is accurate, educationally appropriate or fit for any particular lesson, and the judgement about whether to use one stays with the teacher.

Credit and billing

Schools buy credit in advance and each generation draws against that balance at the price shown when it runs. Payments are handled by Stripe under their own terms. If a school turns on automatic top-ups, we will charge the saved card when the balance runs low, until it is turned off.

Availability

We aim to keep the product running and will not pretend to a level of uptime we haven't committed to. Features may change, and features may go away. If we make a change that materially reduces what a paying school gets, we'll tell you. [If you intend to offer an SLA, it belongs here.]

Ending it

You can stop using the product whenever you like and ask us to delete your school's data — see the Privacy Policy. We can suspend or close an account that is breaking these terms, or being used in a way that puts students or the service at risk. Where the circumstances allow it, we will say what's wrong and give you a chance to put it right first.

Warranties and liability

The product is provided as it is, without warranties beyond those the law won't let us exclude. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we'll update the date at the top, and we'll give schools notice of a material change before it takes effect.

Law and disputes
